No power-factor charge on any commercial schedule. Demand is billed in kW. There are 90% power-factor requirements for some equipment and for customer-owned generation.

Smaller customers
Applies to all classes: no power-factor billing.
What the tariff says
Gs-1, Gs-2, Cp-1 (over 40–200 kW), Cp-2 (200–1,000 kW), Cp-3 (over 1,000 kW)
Applies to: All commercial and industrial customers.
How it works: The Cp schedules have no power-factor clause. Rule 116 requires single-phase equipment on a three-phase service to maintain a 90% power factor, and schedule Pgs-2 requires a 90% net power factor for customer generation of 20–100 kW.
"Such a customer shall maintain a power factor of 90 percent (or as otherwise specified in the company's tariffs)."

- Size the kVAR for your load.
- No charge doesn't always mean no benefit: correction can still free capacity and cut losses.
